I’m not a triathlete. But I will be. Dylan will help me get there.
Unlike many of Dylan’s clients I’m not someone who grew up fostering an appreciation and love for the sport of running, biking, swimming and all the shenanigans that are usually attributed to this crazy and exhilarating lifestyle. I work in high fashion and my career demands I travel approximately 310 days a year spending numerous weeks on luxury cruise ships sailing the Caribbean, Baltic, Mediterranean, Alaska, Hawaii and Australasia and hosting events in various world capitals, I found my previous lifestyle unfulfilling in the physical and mental sense.
I discovered the joys of running only in 2014 and started using it recreationally as my excuse for “me time”, then I realized I could run 5km, and then I pushed myself to 10km and so on … I was hooked.
In March of this year (2015) I ran my first 30km race in Hamilton, ON Canada. I enjoyed it, learned a lot about me and the sport through trial and error but immediately after I set my eyes on completing my first Marathon. Being a novice I naturally consulted the internet and discovered Triathlons. Clearly the opportunity (and temptation) was too good to ignore.
Currently I am in the final days before my first Marathon (Oct 18), and I wouldn’t be as confident or prepared had it not been for the Personalized Online Coaching Services that Dylan offers. Having Dylan available almost 24/7 has made it incredibly comforting for me as I embrace this new lifestyle. Since starting training with Dylan I have completed my personal goal of running half marathon distances (21.1km) in every country I visit. This Year I’ve run my 21.1kms in 15 different countries.
Post my marathon my training will shift towards completing my first 70.3 IM (IronMan Triathlon) early 2016 and a full 140.6 IM in the summer. I feel confident I will not only succeed, but together with Dylan I will exceed even my own expectations.
Whether you’re a pro, a fan or a novice like myself. the Personalized Online Coaching services that Dylan offers will take your training to levels you’ve not yet experienced.
Oh! - and the pain. it’s amazing. it’s worth it.
